We were visited today by Rotary District 7530 Governor Rick Reese of Grafton WV. Governor Reese is a life-long resident of Taylor County and is serving a fourth term as County Magistrate, previously serving two terms as Sheriff. He reviewed Rotary history and presented information regarding Rotary International’s efforts to eradicate polio and establish clean water sources in all parts of the world. Governor Reese congratulated the club on its achievements over the years and stressed the importance of implementing more hands-on community projects, leaving a legacy of service and renewing a commitment to youth.

The Governor inducted Wood County Rotary’s newest member - Valerie Curtis of Personnel Temporary Services Inc. Governor Reese presented Wood County President Joe Oppe with the “Rotarian at Work” plaque signifying the Rotary motto “Service before Self”.
